Tell us about yourself:

I am the middle child of “Jewban” (Cuban Jewish) immigrants, have been married to my hubby for over twenty-five years and together, we are the proud parents of two kids in college.  I work in the financial services industry in wealth management and mentor many young women and men. I live with Stage IV breast cancer and wrote a book about it years ago called “Naked Jane Bares All.”

What’s one lesson you’ve learned through your career that you wish more women knew?

The only way you can do incredible things at work and for others is by first taking  great care of yourself.

What advice would you give to young women looking to build successful careers in traditional male-dominated industries?

Give yourself lots of grace and know that you have all you need to be successful

What tips or tricks do you have for women when it comes to their finances?

NEVER turn over your finances completely to anyone else.  Even if you are not the primary decision maker, know what you have, what you are building and where to turn to for support. Don’t ever put your “head in the sand” when it comes to money, wealth and personal finances. Ask lots of questions!

What does wellness mean to you?

Wellness means taking care of myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually so that I am able to take care of all the things and people I feel responsible for.  Sometimes this demands that I shut out the world and all its craziness.  It also means resting deeply when I need to, without apology.

Who is a woman that moves you—someone who has inspired, supported, or shaped your journey?

MY GRANDMA!  I miss her every day. She showed me how to love unconditionally and abundantly and made me feel that I was safe and valued.
